This is an AT&T Government Solutions position on an alternate benefit plan (pension included). Secret clearance is required.
Experience: Five years minimum experience in a DoD or other US Government Industrial Security Program and an in-depth knowledge of the DoD or other government security regulatory manuals. Successful completion of the Information System Security Officer or Manager training through the Defense Security Services Training Academy and/or commensurate USG experience required. Experience must include Certification and Accreditation experience for government systems. Security Clearance commensurate with job responsibilities required.
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Position Summary: Under minimal supervision, manages firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Develops, tests and operates firewalls, IDS, anti-virus systems, audit tools and software deployment tools. Safeguards the network/computers against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure. Researches, evaluates, tests, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices. Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware and telecommunications in accordance with applicable government Information Assurance guidance and regulations.
Principle Responsibilities: Develops, author, and implements System Security Procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel. (40%) Conducts security reviews and interprets written security requirements for implementation. (15%) Conducts security audits/reviews of systems. (15%) Investigates system security violations and recommends corrective actions. Maintain liaison with outside governmental agencies. Develops and implements procedures and coordinates procedural manual revisions. May provide work leadership or supervision for lower level employees.
Training and Special Skills: Information System Security Officer/Manager training through the Defense Security Services Training Academy and/or successful equivalent training and/or commensurate USG experience required. Experience must include knowledge of the DITSCAP and/or NIST certification and accreditation process. Security Clearance commensurate with job responsibilities required.
